The story

Emilio Carranza was a Mexican aviation pioneer and celebrated pilot who flew many successful missions, including a record-breaking flight from Mexico to New York City in 1928.

In 1926, Carranza participated in the "National Air Race" in Mexico City, where he won first place in the "Cabin Planes" category. This victory earned him national recognition and led to his appointment as the chief pilot of the Mexican military's aviation division. In 1927, Carranza was selected to represent Mexico in the first transnational flight between the United States and Mexico, earning him international acclaim.

The new Vuelo Emilio Carranza watch collection pays tribute to this brave aviator and his love of flying. The creative team at Vuelo Emilio Carranza has designed the watch while taking inspiration from the aviation instruments of the 1920s and selected vintage-inspired shades and materials that would have been familiar to Emilio during his time in the air.

The watches feature a striking black dial with luminescent hands, which offers exceptional legibility both day and night a plane illustration on the dial.

In addition, the Emilio Carranza portrait has also been engraved on the back case, providing a respectful nod to the legendary Mexican pilot.
