The Vuelo Emilio Carranza chronograph pays tribute to this brave aviator and his love of flying. The creative team at Vuelo Emilio Carranza has designed the watch while taking inspiration from the aviation instruments of the 1920s and selected vintage-inspired shades and materials that would have been familiar to Emilio during his time in the air.

The story

Emilio Carranza (1905 – 1928) was a Mexican aviation pioneer and celebrated pilot who flew many successful missions, including a record-breaking flight from Mexico to New York City in 1928.  Born on December 9, 1905, Carranza developed an early passion for aviation, taking flying lessons in high school. In 1926, he won first place in the "Cabin Planes" category at Mexico City's National Air Race, gaining national recognition and becoming chief pilot of the Mexican military's aviation division. In 1927, he represented Mexico in the first transnational flight between the U.S. and Mexico, earning international acclaim.

The Vuelo Emilio Carranza Cronógrafo, which is a chronograph with center hours and minutes, center hands GMT, chronograph center seconds, chronograph minutes on the 9' counter, small seconds on the 3' counter, and date. It works on the CYS 8120, base Dubois Dépraz 30342, automatic with 40 hours power reserve, 51 jewels, and 28800 A/h.
