Located just seven kilometers from downtown Havana, the Sans Souci must have seemed a world away from “normal” society. Famous for its sumptuous cabarets, the dancers were often glamorous American artists, attracted to the Caribbean island with the promise of “big money.”
With its cabaret, drinks and restaurant, the Sans Souci offered all that was needed by fun-loving tourists seeking hedonistic pleasures.
Housed in a 38.5mm stainless steel case, the watch can be specified with a colour-coordinating leather strap with tone on tone stitching or a 3-rows stainless steel bracelet. The polished case is intricately shaped.
For example, the crown nestles in a recessed section of the caseband while a similar recess, positioned adjacent to 9 o’clock, grants an agreeable dose of symmetry.
To the rear of the watch, the caseback is engraved with a depiction of the Sans Souci’s iconic entrance, once the gateway to epicurean delights. The Robusto Sans Souci is fitted with the CYS 5159 (base SW261) automatic calibre.
