Cuervo y Sobrinos x Cadiz F.C
Cádiz, Thursday 3 December 2020 – Cuervo y Sobrinos has teamed up with Gordillo Jewellers to produce a collection of special Cádiz C.F. Vuelo watches.
This limited-edition set has been created exclusively by Cuervo y Sobrinos for the Cadiz football team. A watch will be given to each member of the squad, as well as each member of the senior management team.
The Vuelo collection is the first aviator collection produced under the Cuervo y Sobrinos name. It is a sports watch with all the standard features you would expect: large numerals, great dial visibility and the signature chic Latin-style pilot strap that makes this brand so unique in the watchmaking world.
The watches have a sophisticated 44mm steel case and a custom dial with the corporate colours of the football club. Each dial bears the emblem of Cádiz C.F. at 6 o’clock and bears the inscription: “Ascenso a Primera División” (“Promotion to the first league”). The numbers and hands are light blue, in contrast with the dark blue of the dial.
The numbers and hands are coated in light blue Super-LumiNova pigments to ensure legibility. Another technical feature is the Cuervo y Sobrinos emblem at the 12, in white. The watch comes with two straps in the official colours of the football team. One in blue Alcantara suede with yellow backstitches, and an extra rubber strap that is yellow on the outside and blue on the inside.
The case houses an automatic mechanism with a 42-hour power reserve. The sealed caseback is engraved with the Cádiz C.F. logo, the name of the recipient player or member of the senior management team and the limited edition number.
The watch is presented in a humidor that has been customised for the occasion. The logo of Cádiz C.F. is etched on the top. Inside the humidor, the watch is presented in an individual brown leather travel case.
